Guided Meditation beefs up the immune system and has become a standard of care in many cancer centers. It also helps control pain, anxiety and stress.  The sympathetic nervous system is responsible for the flight -fight-freeze response when we’re under stress. Slow deep breathing activates the parasympathetic nervous system. It is the part of the nervous system that helps us rest and digest… a little like the brakes on a car.
